A Botched Free Throw Costs Ante up a Win Over The Rain.
A missed free throw by Ante Up cost its team a win Thursday night, preventing what would have been an amazing come back.
**Game of the Night** The Rain 55 - Ante Up 54
The last 30 seconds of the game was filled with unbelievable 3’s, clutch free throws, and confusion, which all leads to a 55-54 victory for The Rain over Ante Up.
Ante Up was making an unbelievable comeback being down 12 with 4:00 minutes left on the clock. They were creating turnovers and converting on 3 pointers. Their comeback brought them to only be trailing The Rain by two points with 21 seconds left.
They had to foul to stop the clock and put Burton Rashad on the line to shoot two free throws. He made only one and Ante Up had to hit a 3 in the last 20 seconds to tie the game; and they did! The shot touched every part of the rim and finally bounced in to tie the score at 53 with three seconds left.
For some reason Ante Up fouled Rashad immediately and put him on the line for two more free throws. He made them both, and gave The Rain a 55-53 lead with just under three seconds left in the game.
Ante Up had to take a desperation half court shot to win the game, but no. The Rain decided to foul him and put him on the line to possibly make both free throws and tie the game. Kenna Uzowihe made the first free throw, and it all came down to his last shot. If he made it the game would most likely end in a tie, and if he missed it, Ante Up would lose.
He dribbled the ball a few times, got ready to shoot, as he knew everyone in the gym was watching him. He released the ball and attempted to bank it off the front of the rim and get the rebound and put the ball back up and win the game. But he botched it. He missed the rim completely and the ball went out of bounds and The Rain won the game 55-44.
Jonathan Chao had a great game for Ante Up and led his team with 19 points. William Kelly led the Rain with 18, and Rashad added 13.
Bangers 69 – DGAF 48
The six points that were given to DGAF at the beginning of the game made no difference at all, as the Bangers easily handled an undersized DGAF team 69-48.
The Bangers showed up late to the game therefore spotting DGAF with six points before the game actually started.
Monica Compton led Bangers with 16 points and Bryson Redd added 15 of his own, as the Bangers were just too quick, tall, and athletic for DGAF to handle. Bangers were driving to the basket at will and when they didn’t make their shots, they always had at least one person in position for the offensive rebound and putback.
The lone bright spot for DGAF was Angie Ostrea who scored 21 points, 16 in the second half. Steven Wolff also added 10.
The Little Ones 67 – Boyd Law 27
The not so Little Ones dominated Boyd Law and ended up mercy ruling them 67-27.

Brittney Harvey added 14 points of her own to help The Little Ones breeze past Boyd Law.
Fantastic Five 83 – AED 30
Fantastic Five really was fantastic tonight as they killed AED 83 – 30.
They really took advantage of the extra points rule for girls as they utilized Alyssa Crittendon as much as possible. She scored 20 in the first half, 25 total. She drained three after three as AED could only watch the clinic.
Nate Kammourieh scored 22 points of his own as the dynamic duo of him and Crittendon were just too good. Nick Johnson added 9 points of his own, all in the first half, to help out the dynamic duo.
Michael Tang of AED did play well with 12 points, almost half of his teams total, but it wasn’t enough as the Fantastic Five was just too good tonight.

The half time score was 26-13 in RoboMonster’s favor.
In the second half, the defense of RoboMonster intensified, making it hard for Kappa Sigma to get in rhythm. Top shooters Ryan Klorman and Joe Struck were ineffective, while the top shooters for RoboMonster, Parsick, Jon-Ross Campeau, and Bryan Burrell all were unstoppable.
Campeau scored 19 points for the game, and Burrell added 9 as RoboMonster mercy ruled Kappa Sigma B in the end.
Nupes or Nothing 60 – Phi Delta Theta 47

The undersized Phi Delt’s played extremely well in the second half. The never gave up and played extremely hard until the game ended. Jordan Deane and Cameron Bawden led Phi Delt with energy and William Mallen led them with 16 points.
Phi Delts 30 point 2nd half wasn’t enough to over come Redd’s offense and Defense of Nupes or Nothing.

AEPI forfeits to Boyd Law
Athletics 60 – Krugers Cut List 51

Payne, for My Bois, played extremely well as his shooting was lights out.

AK Holics 85 – Team Ford 39
AK Holics bounced back from their previous loss to dominate Team Ford 85-39.
Everything was working for them, their inside game, defense, and especially their 3 point shooting. They made a total of 17 3-pointers, and all but one player made a three.
AK Holics started the game with a 14-0 run, thanks to three 3’s by Cody Hill. Team Ford could not keep up with the athleticism, height, and fast paced style of play of AK Holics.
The halftime score was 36-14, and at this point 10 three pointers were already made by AK Holics, Jacob Miles and Cody Hill each with four.
The second half was more of the same as the AK Holics never let up. Their fast break style of play led to more 3’s and easy lay-ups. The size of Steven Husky and Nathan Sharp really made a difference inside with offensive rebounds and put backs.
Hill ended the game with 14 points, Huskey had 13, Nick Johnson added 14, Miles had 11, Nate Kammourieh had 11, and Sharp added 13 round up a very well balanced performance by the AK Holics.

They played hard until the very end, with Hyer and Soderquist each scoring 19 points, but it wasn’t enough to beat the Alpha Team.
Connell ended with 19 points, and Tyson Cross added 20 to lead Alpha to a victory over the LDSSA Ballers.
