D-Chi Bests Pike Late Despite Great Play by Ben Green of Pike
With Christian Lightbourne and Ty Tuliau on the floor for D-Chi, Greek teams across the conference must live with worry.
**Game of the Night** Delta Chi Monsters 57 - Pi Kappa Alpha 50
The final game of the night ended with battle between the big boys of DChi Monsters and Pike. Both teams fought it out till the remaining seconds only have PiKA's redemption dashed by another foul. The Monsters took advantaged of misplaced fouls, scoring 14 points alone on the line.
Christian Lightbourne is truly a monster on the court putting up eight points in the first half. Lightbourne used his speed to recover missed shots. Not to be outdone Pike's Benjamin Green had the golden touch making 13 points and sending his team ahead at the half 29-28.
Both teams aggresivly traded shot for shot until Pike made a costly foul in the final minutes that gave the Monsters possestion and momentum.
Lightbourne had an equally great second half scoring 16 in total. Despite the loss Benjamin Green put up impressive stats scoring more than half of their overall score (26) and hitting 6 three pointers.
Native Rebs 61 - Alpha Xi Delta 19
Native Rebs's speed and quick rebounds overmatched AXiD's long shooters. Mighty mouse, Jennifer Miller, led the Rebs with 18 points at the half. Teammate Murlynn Lee towering at 5' 9'' easily picked up the rebounds and took full advantage scoring eight points at the half.
AXiD's famed long shooter, Carly Cinkovich, made three, three point shots to help her team out. AXiD's Alisha Rogers supported her team through good hustle and defense but proved to unharm the Reb's tyrant with the half ending with the Reb's leading 36-16.
Murlynn Lee had an equally strong second half scoring 10 points to seal AXiD's fate. The game ended early with the 40 point mercy rule and Native Reb's the victo

Jennifer Miller led the team with 22 points, followed by Murlynn Lee's 18. In the loss Carly Cinkovich scored 9 points with Alisha Rogers close behind with 5.
Delta Zeta 35 - Alpha Delta Pi 30
DZ played with a man, well technically a woman down and still managed to pull off the victory. ADPi struggled offensively early on with the majority of the team putting up low numbers. Corey Bradley of DZ had an impressive first half with eights points and was helped by teammate Alicia Schanilec on defense.
Action was mininaml in a low scoring first half for either team. ADPi found their stride late in the first half and went on a 10-2 run to lead by a point into halftime.
DZ's Alicia Schanilec had a huge second half putting up 14 points to help widen their winning margin. Teammate Corey Bradley was not to be outdone and put up 12 points of her own. ADPi players Ashley Brilman and usually dominate Lisa Donnelly put up 8 points.
In the end ADPi could not make their shots and found themselves at a deficit they could not overcome. Alica Schanilec finished strong with 18 points and soared DZ to victory.
GVE 60 - Boyd 22
GVE lived up to its name to Elite status after dominating the big boys of Boyd. Boyd did not score a basket until 1 minute left on the clock giving GVE free reign to rack up points. GVE's James Dimascio scored 9 points in the first half, closely followed by teammate Evan Kallas putting up 8.
Boyd had plenty of opportunities but the shots were not falling in. GVE hustled harder and made the most of second chance opportunities ending the half at 31- 13.
GVE's Patrick Williams had an explosive second half scoring 11 points to help his team widen the lead. James Dimascio finished the game with 18 points leading his team to a 5 minute mercy rule against Boyd.
In the loss William Thompson led his team with 7 points closely followed by David Klink scorcing six.
Team Elite 68 - BSL 52
It was truly a team effort on Team Elite's part with every player getting on the board. Elite came out strong offensivly with captin Jacoby Reed at the helm putting up 13 points in the first half. BSL's Matthew Orme put up a tough fight defensivly and offensivly scoring seven points.
Donavyn Persley and Jonah Ross linked up with a stylish alley-oop dunk to close out the first half leading 31 to 18.
BSL hustled and played passionatly through the game but was never able to catch up to Team Elite's all around shooters. BSL's Vincent Vitatoe put up an impressive 14 points in the second half but did not overcome the loss by 16 points.
Dashawn Jones and Benjamin Chambliss impressed the crowd with a toss up dunk late in the game.
Jacoby Reed led Elite with 22 points followed by Benjamin Chambliss and Donavyn Persley with nine. In the loss Vincent Vitatoe finished up with 20 points and teammate Matthew Orme scored 16.
Lambda Chi Alpha A 72 - Tau Kappa Epsilon 21
In an old school basketball whooping Lambda Chi Alpha A desimated TKE. Lambda's Jose Berumen scored 22 points in the first half alone with teammate Casey Barbee putting up 13.
TKE looked sluggish from the beginning scoring only two points with two minutes remaining in the half. They finished up the half scoring five more to make it 49 to 7.
Lambda continued to dominate well into the 2nd half with impressive stats coming from Jose Berumen and Casey Barbee who hit four three point shots. TKE's Andrew Schmidt helped stop the bleeding by putting up 8 points.
Painful and almost comical TKE finished with the 40 point mercy rule. Hopefully next game they will show up to play some ball.

ZBT B Team 44 - Kappa Sigma 14
ZBT B Team pummels Kappa Sigma in what proved to be another mercy rule ending.
Kappa Sigma came out strong in the first part of the half but quickly lost steam to ZBT's aggresive offense. ZBT made a 15-0 run to take a 17-4 lead with four minutes left. Bo Murphy led his team with seven points to push the half time lead to 20 to 10.
ZBT continued to control the court blazing through KS's defense in a 18 and 2 run. ZBT bested K-Sig in rebounds, transition points and hustle making a comeback
inproabable.
Bo Murphy of ZBT doubled his overall score to 15 to inact the 30 point mercy rule. Zack Kay had the 2nd best score at eight points.
In the loss Sebastian Torres led Kappa Sigma with four points.
Zeta Beta Tau 62 - Lambda Chi Alpha B 10
Lambda Chi Alpha B team was outmatched in size and overall ability in the late night game against ZBT. The passion was there however the big guys at ZBT made the shots that counted.
Danny Mason put up 14 points with help from teammate John Houser scoring seven. The half ended with ZBT on top 45 to a mere 5.
Second half offered much more of the same, L-Chi turning over ball after ball and ZBT capitalizing on it. Danny Mason finished up with 16 points and Houser with 13.
In the loss L-Chi players did not exceed more than three points and the 40 point mercy rule was in play.
Sigma Alpha Mu 56 - Alpha Phi Alpha 33
Sig-Mu came out on top in what looked to be a great match up from the start. Both teams traded shots before Sig-Mu's Hunter Smit went on a rampage to shut them down.
APA had the heart but Sig-Mu's muscle overpowered them. Smit beat out APA's defense to gain access to easy layups. APA's Leon Jackson kept his head up and led his team to the half with eight points. Sig-Mu took advantage of APA's fouls to lead the half 29 to 16.

Taylor Ross of Sig-Mu helped out by putting up 13 points. In the loss Leon Jackson finished with 11 points and Jabbar Daniels scored eight.
Sigma Alpha Epsilon 52 - Alpha Tau Omega 34
SAE came out with a lot of intensity and never let up to overtake ATO. SAE had control of the game from tipoff to the final buzzer with defense playing a strong role in their victory.
ATO did not score until four minutes into the game. They did not give up, however and stayed within reach for most of the game. SAE's Aaron Turner had a big day with five points leading into halftime. Teammate Michael Snodgrass put up some big shots for eight points. SAE led halftime 31 to 17.
ATO picked up their intensity in the second half but not enough to overtake SAE. ATO's Bryan Armendanz led the way with 12 points and Alex Rodriguez gained six with some quick shots inside. SAE finished up with Aaron Turner's help of 18 points and Micheal Snograss's 10.
For once, SAE was able to pull off a victory without it coming down to the buzzer.
